Have you been notified about the new App Store for Mac apps? Yes, it finally has come online but requires you to update to OS X v10.6.6.

If you’re still running on the 10.5.6 beta (e.g. 10h542 delta) update from the Apple Dev Center then you won’t see the latest update to 10.6.6. You can manually check Software Update from the menu bar but still will be missing this update as the reversioned OS X beta does not qualify for it.

Apple just released the GM (Golden Master) candidate for developers. I downloaded and tested the new iOS 4 yesterday on my iPhone 3G 16GB. I skipped the betas as it’s currently my only phone and some of the betas were reported to render the iPhone pretty unstable.

This final release of the new iPhone OS 4 (now called iOS 4 as its range of target devices has been extended to iPhone, iPod and iPad) works fine and stable on my old iPhone 3G. I still can’t record videos and have to pass the multitasking feature due to lack of CPU power.

The new iMac 2009

Just saw the new iMac in the video ad on Apple’s home page. The highest spec machine will house a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad Core CPU and all the memory and storage you’ll ever need in a 27-inch display. Wow, I definitely need this!

The 21.5-inch models and the 27-inch 3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo iMac are already available from $1200 to $1700. The Quad Core iMac starts shipping in November 2009. Continue reading “New iMac released – 27-inch LED display and Intel i5 Quad Core” »

Hurry up, only a few hours left to get this awesome bundle of 14 apps for your Mac on MacHeist 3!

This time MacHeist 3 offers you a great bundle of apps and 25% of the sales go to charity. They already raised over $600,000 and still a few hours to go. The initial 12 apps has been topped up with 2 bonus apps Cro-Mag Rally and Times which gives you 14 apps total. And that number doesn’t even include the free EventBox and many other apps that were given away for free on Twitter. Check your loot on MacHeist.

I already bought 2 bundles. 1 for me and another as a gift. I’m not affiliated with MacHeist in any type nor do I get any money for it. It’s just a great deal and a win-win for everybody.

Don’t miss it, go right to MacHeist and order your bundle now before it’s too late!

This offer will probably end at 00:00 ET on Apr 7th 2009.

MacHeist features a new free software bundle for your loot. All you have to do this time is to join a group on MacHeist. Answer some questions on the Agent Aptitude Test form and have a look into your loot.

It’s a very short and funny survey, took me 2 mins and made me laught. (e.g. What would you do if a Zune user was stabbed right across the street?) I just filled in the questionnaire and I’m still awaiting my assignment to a group. Continue reading “Free apps: Webbla bookmark manager on MacHeist3” »

Everybody encounters the same problem sooner or later: a growing list of logins and passwords for an even faster growing list of web sites, services, computers or any any account. Not all but some of those informations are very sensitive data. These won’t be kept save by a default password many users tend to use for almost all of their accounts.

iPhone Jailbreak und zurück

On 2009/01/31, in iPhone, Reviews, by MK

Habe nun endlich mein altes iPhone 3G mit Firmware 2.2.1 wieder. Die ganze Prozedur hat mich einige Stunden gekostet, aber zum Glück ist jetzt alles wieder wie vorher.

Was ist passiert?
